The cello has been around since the 1500s. It is an instrument of limitless tonal possibilities. Unfortunately it has been mostly confined to its traditional role in european classical music.

            Until recently.

jesse wright is a non-traditional cellist making a home for the cello in contemporary music.

jesse wright currently plays with:

The Sanguine Orchestration System:
A minimalist indie rock trio. Dark soundscapes. cello, guitar/vocals, drums.

Bigger than Ryan:
The "three man rhythm section," cello, acoustic guitar/vocals, and african drums. The energy of rock, the spontinaity of jazz; catchy tunes, long jams.
